Tshego Kekana is a seasoned PR and Communications Specialist. She has extensive industry experience and skills in public relations, media liaison, corporate events coordination, influential marketing, strategy planning and execution as well as marketing from a digital and traditional perspective. She has built good relations with industry leaders and media inﬂuencers. Some of the clients that she has worked with include: Old Mutual, Standard Bank, Sasol, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), African Innovation Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Innovation Summit for Education, Bloomberg Africa, McDonald’s SA, Novo Nordisk, Civil Aviation Authority, Sasria, Protea Hotels. She founded The Lioness Movement in 2017. A movement that helps women unleash their inner strength. The movement is aimed at building a community or network of strong women across Africa with the aim to empower each other and pull each other up. The ladies are offered platform where they get to share their personal stories and experiences with no judgements. The Lioness annual event takes place in October each year and intimate wine sessions, take place every quarter. When we build women; we build communities, build families and build homes.. She also started a natural products business – Abena Natural Products, a business she established in August 2019 that was inspired by her solocation to Ghana. She sells unrefined Shea Butter and African Black Soap. Her dream for this business is to expand it to a range of natural skin and hair products for Africans. She hopes to open a natural skin and hair boutique in the near future. As a woman who wears a few hats, she also sits on the executive committee of the Thuli Madonsela Foundation (Thuma Foundation) volunteering her time to help with the foundations events and social media.
